On the other hand, since the truck was smooshed by the tree, a plethora of things have happened to make this the opposite of a Best Week Ever in my family. Things including and not limited to: Dad's semi breaking down in a tollboth and having to close off a Chicago expressway to push it to the side of the road to work on, the Suburban door not opening from the inside, my car running out of gas on my parents and leaving them stranded as they had the keys to the only driveable car, as it's both unsafe and illegal to drive a truck with a tree sticking through the windshield, the plumbing going insane, the fridge breaking, the air on my car fizzling out and an ugly new mailbox. Plus, the City hasn't come and cut down the cracked limb yet (you can actually see through the limb in two seperate places) so we're still in danger of having another smooshed car. Oh, and ugh, I think next week I have to go to my Formerly Lesbian But Now Marrying a Skeazy Man Cousin Sue's wedding, as to the dismay of, well, everyone they decided to not elope and to have a "big" wedding instead.
*grins* The nice part is that everyone's mellowed out enough so that all this has just become a big joke to the whole family. Because, really, it's very funny how many random things can just go wrong in a single week.
